The food here is pretty good! My husband and I are from San Diego where the Mexican food is second to none and we've frequented many a taco stands in Tijuana and Mexicali!!! On top of that my husband is Mexican and grew up on the real stuff, so needless to say we know our Mexican food! Anyways I love the carne asada tacos and the asada torta here, they're rice and beans are good too. My husband likes they're cabeza, lengua, tripas, and carne asada tacos, I think he's also had a carne asada burrito that he said was good too. As far as the atmosphere it totally reminds me of the taco shops back home, no frills....who cares anyways you're there for the food right!?! My opinion is sometimes the best food is in the jenkiest looking hole in the wall places so looks don't mean much to me. As long as the food looks good lol....and I couldn't give 5 stars just because it's just not the same as back home and they don't have California Burritos or carne asada fries either lol! But if you're looking for authentic street style tacos this is a good place to start!

Pretty darn good Mexican fare for the money! Good authentic food at rock bottom prices. The atmosphere is about halfway there...it was a bit oddly lit. There is no bar, but they sell Jarritos and other sodas so it's fun anyway. The tamales are tasty and the tacos were really good. We'll be going back for sure!

Amazing marinated pork!! Tamales are best in Fort Wayne. Everything very reasonably priced. The ambiance nothing special, but the food and service make up for that!! Try it!!

TACOS! You have to try the tacos. I had the carnitas, Carne asada, and al pastor. All three were delicious but the carnitas were by far my favorite. They came out tender and juicy, not chewy and were rich and flavorful. The al pastor was excellent too, with crispy bits and lovely pieces of that sweet pineapple to contrast the salty meaty pork. All three came topped with the traditional cilantro and onion and double wrapped in corn tortillas, accompanied by lime wedges and a trio of salsas, which were also fantastic. Overall delicious and satisfying, I will definitely be back. These tacos are pretty legit for Fort Wayne.

Very tasty tacos, tamales, rice and frijoles! Not Americanized food, very authentic. There is a charge for chips and salsa. Also no fountain drinks either. But worth a visit for the great tacos! They bring a trio of sauces that range in heat. The darker one is very hot! So, so good tho!!! Magnifico!

I have never had a bad experience here besides on a carry out order they messed up and promised to fix then went in a couple days later and they went back on that promise. So my advice would be to dine in. Great authentic Mexican food. If that's what you are looking for.

Waited 20 minutes for tacos. Ordered more beverages during the wait. When they finally came out the order was wrong. Waited an additional 15 minutes for the rest of our order (sour cream, cheese, and lettuce.) Only for it to be incorrect as well, and for the waitress to ask if we needed silverware... Needless to say we just left, minutes later we were chased down by police. Do not waste your time at this place. Without question the worst restaraunt experience of my life. Zero stars.

Not impressed. It's nothing more than cafeteria food and micro beer at high end pricing. Bring back Banditos.

Not sure what people like about this place. First of all you have to enter your order on a community iPad that is smeared with the last fifty people's dirty hand grease. Yummy. They're going for the Chipotle and Qdoba thing, but they miss it by a long shot. Flavors are dull or not well-seasoned. Hard to put my finger on it, but both my wife and I left half of our food untouched, which is saying something. The ingredients might be fresh, but the sum of those ingredients tastes a little off. It takes about three bites into your dish to realize it doesn't actually taste that good. I'm all for local versus chains, but this falls short. Very short.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
